​​ANDY CHARALAMBOUS / ASTRONOMY RESIDENCY

 

I am artist in residence for the Astronomy group at University College London.  From the summer of 2014 this position has been given to 3 artists; Judy Goldhill, Jane Grisewood and myself.

 

This is very exciting for me, and I am looking forward to the inevitable inspiration that will feed my art.

 

I am also artist in residence for the High Energy Physics group at UCL.  This area of science looks at the very small in our universe,  whilst astronomy looks at the very large.  Yet they are so interlinked that our understanding of one relies on the other.  I hope that my artistic response to each will be enhanced by my understanding of the other.
